A rare total solar eclipse today

The longest solar eclipse in 50 years will occur today. The world is going to witness a rare solar eclipse on Monday (April 8). It is for this reason that the subject has been of great interest to everyone from astronomers. However, the total solar eclipse will not be visible from all regions of the world, the US space research agency NASA has already said. In fact, this rare phenomenon can only be seen from the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The duration and visibility of the solar eclipse depends on the geographical location of the observer. The solar eclipse lasting up to 7.5 minutes will be visible in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Visitors can enjoy the eclipse well near the beach town of Mazatlan on Mexico’s Pacific coast.

According to scientists, this is the longest total solar eclipse in the last 50 years. The last such long sollar ecclipse was seen in 1973.

An eclipse occurs when the Earth, Moon, and Sun are aligned, and the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun. The type of solar eclipse depends on the position of the moon. When the sun is completely covered by the shadow of the moon, it is called a total eclipse. Today April is going to have that total eclipse. On this day, the size of the moon in the sky will also be larger than other days.

Although the Moon is much smaller than the Sun, the Moon is much closer to the Earth. So its shadow will completely cover the sun from Earth’s view.

NASA will broadcast the eclipse live. Technology website of Mashable According to NASA, the event will be broadcast live today from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. That is, it will be seen from Bangladesh on April 8 from 11 pm to 2 am. A live stream of the event will be broadcast on NASA’s YouTube channel and the NASAPlus website.

This soler eclipse will last for 7.5 minutes. Such a long solaar eclipse occurs only once in 50 years. This rare solar clipse will be seen again in 2150. Another interesting aspect of solr eclipse is the timing of the event. The eclipse will coincide with the final phase of the Sun’s 11-year cycle. This means that more sunspots and corona (the outer white part of the Sun) will be seen due to increased solar activity at this time.

Constipation is not rare. However, scientists consider the first eclipse of the year to be different from the other five eclipses. Because eclipses usually don’t last that long. The moon hides the sun for a minute or two. Then the sun is seen again in the sky. The seven-and-a-half-minute take has therefore generated renewed interest among those interested.
