Invincible Bengal, University of Dhaka, 17 In the ongoing anti-quota movement, a group of teachers from various public universities have rallied for various demands, including finding and judging and punishing those responsible for killing, assault and torture.

This program titled ‘Anti-Oppression Teachers’ Rally’ was held at the foot of the Invincible Bengal of Dhaka University on Wednesday afternoon. It was informed from the rally that they will gather in front of the National Museum at Shahbagh with the participation of the former students of various universities today at 3 o’clock in protest against the oppression of the quota movement.

Professor Gitiara Nasrin of Dhaka University’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism delivered the closing speech in the gathering. He said, “You (government) do not protect the dignity of the oath. Quota was once canceled due to passion, again… Those of us who have forgotten to ask questions, we are teaching the students anew about our right to speak.’

Geetiara Nasreen said, “Every murder and torture should be tried.” The culprits should be punished accordingly. Injured persons should be compensated as far as possible, medical arrangements should be made. If there are members of the security forces on the campus, they should act on behalf of the students. Otherwise they cannot stay here. Students have to take care of safety, nothing can be forced. Everyone is in favor of the students.
